Gerardo
Gerardo Toledo began his career as a dentist in Argentina, but his life took a profound turn during his time as a missionary dentist in Bangladesh from 1994 to 1998. There, he not only fell in love with the country, but was deeply moved by the suffering of its people, especially women and children living in extreme poverty.
After returning to the United States, he settled in California, where he completed his training in Chaplaincy and specialized in Endodontics—a profession he has practiced for over 20 years. This holistic foundation has strengthened his lifelong calling to serve, integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration.
In 2013, he founded BanglaHelp, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing food, education, and real opportunities for vulnerable children. Over the course of twelve years as president, he also helped lead initiatives supporting women seeking to leave prostitution behind, offering them a path to healing and a dignified life.
Karina
Karina Salvador began her professional journey in Argentina, where she trained as an administrative secretary. She later earned a degree in Human Resources and became a certified ontological coach. Over the years, she worked in various companies, taking on diverse roles within HR, with a particular focus on compensation management and equitable salary structures. Her work has always been guided by a deep sense of justice, fairness, and respect for human dignity.
Her passion for creating real opportunities for people in vulnerable situations led her to develop socially impactful projects, where she combines her technical expertise with a deeply human and transformative approach.
Karina and Gerardo married in 2023, beginning a new chapter grounded in family, faith, and a shared sense of purpose. Together, they have built a blended family with four children: Mateo and Emily (Gerardo’s children), and Jeremías and Alma (Karina’s children). Each one has brought their own story and strength to this journey of hope and restoration. In 2024, they co-founded Help & Bless International (ONG) and too they co-founded The Family Tag LLC, a company born from their desire to integrate their values, experience, and professional backgrounds into projects with meaningful impact. Then, in 2025, Gerardo stepped down from the presidency of BanglaHelp to focus fully on his family and these new shared initiatives.During this new stage, Karina founded Dallia—a project born from the fusion of Gerardo’s deep love for Bangladesh, her professional expertise in Human Resources, and her firsthand experience with the women supported by BanglaHelp. Dallia brings these elements together through a strong commitment to fair trade and the restoration of women seeking to rebuild their lives with dignity.
Dallia is much more than a brand: it is the fruit of years of experience, faith, pain, learning, and a shared conviction that even in the darkest places, life can bloom.
